Taking serious note of the reported terrorist activities, including bomb explosion, in Karachi University on December 28, the vice-chancellor, Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui, has rusticated, with immediate effect, three students who were found involved in the terrorist attack.
The students' names are: Hafeezullah Khan s/o Naimatullah Khan, (I.R); Syed Feyaz Ali s/o Musaddiq Ali Shah, Chemistry (Evening Programme); and Muhammad Umer s/o Major Aslam Chaudhry, Food Science & Technology. These students have also been debarred from entering the University, on any pretext. The vice-chancellor has also strongly warned that any Karachi University student who is found involved in any terrorist activity cannot remain a student and would stand rusticated till the final decision of the court. Further, if such a student has passed out and has obtained a degree from the University of Karachi, the degree will be cancelled, according to an announcement made by Professor Kaleem Raza Khan, Registrar, University of Karachi, here on Saturday.
