Pakistan Customs' Drug Enforcement Cell (DEC), Karachi Airport Unit on Tuesday recovered and seized contraband heroin from an outbound courier parcel at air export. According to details, the DEC staff while keeping surveillance on the outgoing courier articles intercepted a package booked from Rawalpindi for an address in Ontario, Canada.
The parcel contained miscellaneous tailoring accessories including satin ribbon spools and color thread cones etc. Since the package by virtue of its contents and destination was identified as "targeted one", it was thoroughly searched, which led to the recovery of about 300g fine quality white heroin which was artfully concealed and pasted on the cones covered under thick layers of color thread windings.-PR
