Sun shines after 12 days in Lahore

The sun finally shown on provincial metropolis and adjacent cities on Monday after 12 days of severe foggy conditions and harsh cold weather in the plains of Punjab. The maximum temperature rose by 2 degree Celsius from 13 to 15 C and minimum by 0.5 degree Celsius from 2 to 2.5 after the sun shining bringing much respite to the people with lessening of intensity of depressing foggy and cold conditions.
In its weather forecast for Tuesday, the meteorological department said that mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. Foggy conditions of moderate/dense intensity are likely to prevail in most of the plain areas (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan and Bahawalpur divisions) of Punjab, Peshawar division (Noshera, Swabi & Charsada adjoining areas) of K.P.K and upper Sindh during the next few days.
It said more rainfall with snowfall over the hills is expected at scattered places over upper parts of the country from January, 13 to 15. The lowest minimum temperature in the country was recorded at Kalam - 10. 9 C and maximum 29.0 C was recorded at Lasbela and Chhor.
Met office further said that in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the Province. Moderate/Dense foggy conditions are likely to prevail in central and lower parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from early night to midday during next few days. In Sindh, cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the province during the next few days.
