Reko Diq project: people of Balochistan are the real owners: Raisani

The people of Balochistan are the real owners of Reko Diq project and no foreign company would be allowed to exploit it contrary to the interests of the people of the province. This was stated by the Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Mohammad Aslam Raisani during a briefing on Agriculture Sector here at CM Secretariat on Friday.
He said that Balochistan is "rich with natural resources and we would not let it go waste." While talking about Reko Diq project, he categorically said that "no foreign company has the right to exploit it against the interest of the people of Balochistan, there would be no compromise on public interests," he said.
"Majority of people living in rural areas are attached to agriculture sector," he said and added the improvement in the research in Agri-sector would have positive impact on the economy of the province. He called for working on war-footing for the promotion of the public-private partnership in the agriculture sector.
Earlier, Secretary Agriculture, Ghulam Ali Baloch gave detailed briefing to the Chief Minister Balochistan on the Agriculture of the province. Provincial Minster Agriculture Mir Asad Baloch, Chief Secretary Balochistan Mir Ahmed Baksh Lehri and other official were also present.
