Taimur Azmat made Information Secretary

The government on Monday replaced the Information Secretary Mansoor Sohail with Taimur Azmat, who has been working as Additional Secretary in the President Secretariat. Establishment Division has issued notification of his transfer. Mansoor Sohail was transferred and posted as secretary Federal Ombudsman with immediate effect.
Successor of Mansoor Sohail worked as Punjab Information Secretary and now will work as additional secretary in-charge Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Sources claimed that federal government will continue the transfers and postings in other federal ministries at top level, especially after the transfer of some ministries to the provinces in the light of 18th amendment.
