A team of Serving Hands Organisation organised a two day Winter Rescue Flood Relief Medical Camp dedicated to Shaikh Jassim Bin Ali Al-Thani, Modern Electrical Supplies Co of Doha Qatar and NIB Bank for the flood hit areas of Sehwan and Dadu.
Thousands of blankets, comforts, jacket for adults and children, winter head cover, warm socks and huge quantity of medicines were distributed to the needy. Doctors, lady doctors, paramedical staff, volunteers and officials of Serving Hands Organisation provided medical assistance to the victims.
Serving Hands Organisation (SHO) has organised medical and relief camps in various villages of Sehwan Sharif and Dadu for two consecutive days to provide medical treatment and warm clothes to desperate flood hit people in cold weather. According to the president of SHO Dr Sekander Ali Shaikh here Monday, a large number of people are suffering from influenza and pneumonia, typhoid, bronchitis, bronchial asthma, cold, skin diseases, food poison, malaria etc as they do not have proper shelter and cover against chilled weather and water-born diseases.
"We had covered Goth Syed Haider Shah, Aarazi Goth, Bothra, Bhag Yousuf Village, Khabroth, Sanagapur, Juhi and other small goths of Sehwan, district Dadu in two days and tried to help them as much as possible within our limited resources." "We have provided them thousands of blankets, comforts, jackets for adults and children, winter head cover, warm socks worth Rs 1.1 million, medicines worth Rs 0.350 million and food items (Rs 0.27 million). But we need more warm clothes and medicines, as demand is much higher than our expectations.-PR
