Seven persons were injured in firing incident that took place between two rival groups in village Karlot near `Chattar' in suburban area of Islamabad. The two groups collided in Chattar area in the jurisdiction of Bhara kahu Police Station, in which seven persons were injured who were rushed to the nearby Federal Government Services Hospital and Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences for treatment.
Police sources revealed that one group was led by Sher Asif, while another by Raja Nisar was at loggerhead over an old marriage dispute. Following the incident, Bhara Kahu Police, SP City Haroon Joya and DSP Secretariat Liaqat Hyat Niazi responded immediately and situation was brought under control. During the police raid total of 27 persons have been arrested and recovered five 12 bore rifles, one 8mm rifle, empties and live ammunition. Preventive action has been taken and further investigation is underway. SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has asked to book the perpetrators of the heinous crime and investigate the matter in transparent manner.
