JERUSALEM: Israel's unemployment rate was 4.2 percent in October, up from 4.1 percent in September, the Central Bureau of Statistics said on Thursday.
The number of employed rose 0.2 percent to 3.85 million, with 61.4 percent of those aged 15 and over having jobs, unchanged from September.
Full-time employment -- 77.8 percent of the workforce -- slipped 0.1 percent from September, while part-time employment dipped 0.3 percent.
The participation rate in the labour force of those 15 and older held steady at 64.0 percent in October.
Boosted by a strong labour market, Israel's economy grew 4 percent in 2016 but growth is forecast to slow to around 3 percent this year.
In the third quarter, Israel's jobless rate fell to 4.1 percent from 4.4 percent in the second quarter.
