PTA condemns suspension of gas supply to Punjab

Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA) Wednesday condemned closure of gas supply to Punjab until December 31, 2010. Khawaja Muhammad Abdullah former chairman PTA said Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani had already issued directives to all concerned quarters for frequently gas supply to Punjab especially to the leather Industry.
This directive is to avert severe grievances confronting in the execution of export orders in time to fulfil their commitments made by PTA's members with their foreign buyers and customers. He said the recent announcement for the complete closure of gas supply till December 30, 2010 was certainly beyond to the directives of the prime minister.
