Five armed robbers on Tuesday looted Rs 6 million from Habib Bank Limited's Morra Nagial Swan Camp branch and managed to escape. According to eye witnesses, five armed persons entered Habib Bank branch of Mora Nagial Swan Camp in the jurisdiction of Sihala Police Station of Islamabad and took away cash amounting Rs 6 million after making all the employees and clients present in the bank hostage at gunpoint.
The armed robbers, with fair complexion were wearing `shalwar qameez' and having caps on their heads. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan immediately rushed to the scene and directed the police personnel to cordon off the area.
Policemen were directed to ensure their presence at all exit and entry points of the federal capital. Police can be immediately contacted at SSP's mobile number 0300-5000577 and police control 051-9203333 in case any person or local residents observe these dacoits resembling with above-mentioned appearance in anywhere within or outside Islamabad.
