Punjab Finance Minister Tanvir Ashraf Kaira has said that it is imperative to fight price-hike and unemployment on war footing, and thus a comprehensive strategy should be prepared both at the Federal and provincial levels. People want relief against increasing inflation in the country, he was talking to various delegations here on Tuesday, disclosed an official. The minister said the elite class would have to sacrifice for the poor and lavish lifestyle should be abandoned.
"The rulers should set an example for the people and all political parties should work together to solve the real issues of the people," he added. According to him, the bridge between haves and have-nots is widening everyday, and we should try our best to narrow the gap. No doubt price-hike is creating intolerance and anxiety in the society; poverty and unemployment are directly related with extremism in the society. It is our national obligation to combat against these menaces together and lay a foundation of a peaceful society.
