The elections for five seats of member directors of Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) will be held on Wednesday. The KSE members will elect their five representatives at the KSE board for calendar year 2011 or for the period from January 1, 2011 till the date of corporatisation and demutualisation of the exchange. The polling will be held in a booth established in the main trading hall of the exchange.
The polling will be held between 4:00 pm and 06: 00 pm, after which results will be announced. After announcement of the election date, total 10 nominations were received. Out of this, one candidate submitted withdrawal. The remaining nine candidates, who are contesting the polls are: Zafar Siddiq Moti, Abid Ali Habib, Muhammad Sohail, Ashraf Bava, Haji Ghani Haji Usman, Abdul Majeed Adam, Azhar Ahmed Batla, Muhammad Azam Khan and Muhammad Qasim Lakhani.
