National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) and Global Defence Turkey (GDT), a leading defence and security product supplier of Turkey have signed an agreement for Identity Management Solutions. Under the banner of Nadra Technologies Ltd (NTL), Nadra is making efforts to explore new business opportunities in Identity Management Solutions and has succeeded in obtaining the confidence of Global Defence, said Tariq Malik, Deputy Chairman Nadra here on Monday.
Malik termed this union of the institutions of both the countries as strategic partnership between them. "We expect to enter in Identity Management Sector of Turkey and beyond through this partnership. It is gateway to Asia and Europe and our Turkish partners will guide us that Turkish and European ICT markets for Nadra are open and we will do the same for them. It will be win-win situation for both the countries" said Malik.
Ozgur Rodoplu, General Manager, Global Defence Turkey was sure that Nadra is poised to enter the Turkish market. "Nadra's international portfolio coupled with its strengths in rolling out citizen centric solutions backed by multi-biometric identity management database makes it a compelling solution provider", she said. Nadra's International portfolio includes Identity Management Solutions for Sudan, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Kenya, UNHCR and World Bank projects, Tariq Malik said.
He said that Nadra is rated among top 50 ID Management companies in the world by ID World Congress, Italy. The objective of the agreement is to explore the market in the field of Home Land Security solutions, he said. Nadra has keen interest in sharing expertise and developing partnership with Turkish Entities in the fields of Smart ID cards and Access Control System. This agreement shall further promote economic cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey, he added.
