Pakistan Cables has announced that Roddy Macdonald, Executive Vice President, General Cable Corporation and Ernest K. Cuyegkeng, President, Phelps Dodge International (Philippines) Inc, have been appointed Directors of the company with effect from November 23, 2010.
According to a press release, both Macdonald and Cuyegkeng are nominees of General Cable Corporation, which recently acquired a 24.6 percent interest in Pakistan Cables through its subsidiary, GK Technologies, Inc Roddy Macdonald and Ernest K. Cuyegkeng will bring to Pakistan Cables considerable international experience and expertise with regards to the cable industry.
Roddy Macdonald has served with General Cable in various roles since 1999, including overseeing Global Sales and Business Development. He has also served 25 years as an officer in the British Armed Services, and ended his distinguished career as Brigadier General. Ernest K. Cuyegkeng has held various senior business positions in the Philippines, including, President of Phelps Dodge Philippines, Director of A. Soriano Corp and Arthaland Corp, Treasurer of Anscor Insurance Brokers Inc and Chairman of AFC Fertiliser and Chemical Inc.
