A member of banned outfit Jesh-e-Mohammad and his daughter were killed by unknown armed men in the limits of Airport police station on Monday. The victim was identified as Shahzad Khalid Farooqi, 35. According to Police, unknown assailants sprayed bullets on the victim when he along with his two daughters and niece was passing through the Star Gate in a car bearing registration No W-7780.
As a result, Farooqi and her daughter Moatar Wania, 10, sustained bullet injuries. Farooqi received one bullet on his head and succumbed to his injuries at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) during treatment while his daughter died on the spot.
They said the deceased was a resident of Model Colony and employ of Al-Rehmat Trust. Police further said the victim left his home to purchase wedding gifts for his brother-in-law. No case was registered till filing of this report.
