People facing difficulties in arm licences renewal

Arm licence holders facing difficulties to get their licences renewed owing to a change in renewal procedure. The arm licence holders, whose licences are going to expire on December 31, contacted concerned post offices to get their licences renewed for next year. The post office staff informed them to contact National Bank of Pakistan in this regard.
They said under new procedure the government authorised National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) to renew arm licences. When they approached the NBP they were directed to bring national identity card, original licence along with photocopy of all the pages of the licence for renewal. They were also directed to contact NBP in January or February to get licence renewed. Some of the arm licence holders said that the government must announce the new procedure properly if any change is being made in renewal of licence.
