The Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee on Wednesday expressed satisfaction over the operational preparedness of the Armed Forces. The JCSC, which met at the Joint Staff Headquarters with General Khalid Shameem Wynne, Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee in the chair, reviewed the prevailing national and regional security environment and the challenges faced by the country.
The meeting was attended by Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Noman Bashir, Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman, Secretary Defence, Secretary Defence Production, Director General Joint Staff, Director General of Inter Services Intelligence, Director General of Strategic Plans Division and senior military officers from the three services. All members expressed satisfaction over the successful visit of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao to Pakistan.
