The CNG supply remains suspended in Multan on the second day on Tuesday. The consumers are facing a lot of problems due to the two-day closure of CNG in most areas of South Punjab including Multan. The CNG pumping stations remain closed on Tuesday on the second day in Multan, Muzaffargarh, Dera Ghazi Khan, Vihari, Khanewal and Layyah, posing huge problems for the owners of CNG-fuelled vehicles, as petrol is very expensive.
The gas supply was disconnected at 6am on Monday, which will be resumed at 6am on Wednesday (today) after two days. Fares of commercial vehicles have also been increased.
Employees at the CNG stations said they were being paid less due to two-day closure of CNG stations. CNG pump owners announced to formally wage a campaign against the government in protest against two-day weekly closure of CNG; however, no date has been announced as yet.
