Non-payment of dues: KESC disconnects supply to Palm Beach project, Al-Karam Square
The Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) has disconnected the power supply of Palm Beach Housing Project in Clifton and Alkaram Square in Liaquatabad here on Tuesday. A KESC official, he confirmed the report and told Business Recorder that the power suspension of Palm Beach Housing Project has been made due to the non-payment for more than two years.
Total defaulting consumers are 443 and amount against them stands at over Rs 2.75 million, he added. Meanwhile, when asked about the disconnection of power supply to AlKaram Square, he said that the power supply of AlKaram Square was disconnected previously on December 4, 2010 and was restored on December 5, 2010 after dialogues. Since the committee made by the residents for the dialogue remained silent due to which the disconnection has been made again on Tuesday night.
