Salman Siddique made FBR chief

In a major development, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Monday replaced the Secretary Ministry of Finance and Chairman Federal Board of Revenue with immediate effect and a notification in this regard has been issued. According to the notifications, Secretary Finance and Revenue Salman Siddique has been transferred and posted as the FBR Chairman.
The outgoing chairman of FBR Sohail Ahmed has been posted as Secretary Planning and Development Division. He replaces Secretary Planning and Development Division Ashraf M Hayat who will retire on December 25. The Establishment Division has appointed Dr Waqar Masood as Secretary Ministry of Finance and Revenue. He was working as Secretary Ministry of Textile.
