KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Monday at 21,089.29 points with a negative change of -261.68 and volume of 60,812,200 shares. High and Low were 21,377.84 and 21,050.17 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 5 were up, 24 were down and 1 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 94,109,900 shares. Total companies traded were 350 of which 68 were positive, 258 were negative and 24 were unchanged.

Technology and Communication was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 19,901,500 shares. It was followed by Engineering with a total traded volume of 12,727,500 shares.

The top three advancers were Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 460 and price per share of 3,022.49 (143.92), Sapphire Textile Mills Limited with a volume of 100 and price per share of 1,879.48 (84.48), Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 2,240 and price per share of 1,446.43 (68.83).

The top three decliners were Nestle Pakistan Limited with a volume of 140 and price per share of 11,400 (-600.00), Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 6,700 (-269.00), Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 680 and price per share of 2,500 (-99.99).
