KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Wednesday at 21,197.04 points with a negative change of -254.56 and volume of 44,876,200 shares. High and Low were 21,474.22 and 21,138.79 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 7 were up, 22 were down and 1 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 90,373,680 shares. Total companies traded were 367 of which 145 were positive, 201 were negative and 21 were unchanged.

Fertilizer was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 10,740,000 shares. It was followed by Textile Composite with a total traded volume of 10,477,470 shares.

The top three advancers were Colgate-Palmolive (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 200 and price per share of 2,321 (108.99), Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 3,080 and price per share of 2,590 (90.00), Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 40 and price per share of 1,260 (60.00).

The top three decliners were Sapphire Textile Mills Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 1,804.96 (-94.99), Sanofi-Aventis Pakistan Limited with a volume of 740 and price per share of 1,590 (-40.00), Service Industries Limited with a volume of 3,300 and price per share of 783.15 (-33.84).
