To briefly introduce our group; engaged in Poultry Breeding business since 1985 having it principal place of business at Lahore with its sale outlets all over Pakistan. Big Bird Group is one of the leading groups in poultry industry in Pakistan.
Grand Parent Poultry (Pvt) Ltd (GPP) is operating Hubbard grand parent broiler farms / hatchery project in Pakistan with the technical assistance and collaboration of M/s Hubbard SAS France since 1989. During 2007 GPP established the world's 4th largest grand parent hatchery near Lahore Pakistan. Our said project is under regular technical supervision of M/s Hubbard. At present GPP production caters to more than 50 percent of the market demand of broiler parent stock (P.S.) in Pakistan.
Grand Parent Poultry Company is pioneer in introducing modern poultry farming and hatchery system in Pakistan. It has established number of GP farms those are well equipped with modern / automation machinery. Grandparent hatchery has imported air-streamer incubators from M/s Petersime, Belgium.
Big Bird Poultry Breeders (Pvt) Ltd presently operates broiler parent stock farms / hatcheries in 53 different locations and currently employs over 1300 persons. Big Bird was awarded FPCCI Merit Export Trophy for three times in recognition of excellent performance in the export of broiler hatching eggs by President of Pakistan General Pervaz Musharaf in year 2000-01, by Prime Minister Mr Mir Jaffarullah Khan Jamali in year 2001-02 & by Prime Minister Mr Shuakat Aziz in year 2003-04.
Big Feed (Pvt) Ltd established latest poultry feed production plant with capacity of 22,500 metric tons per month near Raiwand Lahore in 1992. It markets poultry feed in the name & style of "Big feed".
Dr Muhammad Mustafa Kamal is the Founder Chief Executive of Grand Parent Poultry (Pvt) Limited which was established in 1988.He is also a Director of Big Bird Group which is a pioneer in introducing latest techniques in poultry meat broiler productions. They introduced for the first time in Pakistan, the grand parent poultry technology in collaboration with Hubbard of USA who are the World leader in production of Parent stock for poultry meat broilers.
Without placement of grandparents in Pakistan, the current level of poultry productions would not have been logistically possible resultantly there would have been an acute shortage of meat. Our country is saving millions of US Dollars in foreign exchange, which would have otherwise been spent upon the import of parent flock. Another major contribution is the price of parent stock which is almost half the price of comparable international competitors.
His Groups' efforts have facilitated in providing affordable top class animal protein in the form of poultry meat. The current price of poultry meat is less than that of beef prices and is half the price of mutton, although in the past if used to be at the double the price of mutton. The phenomenal rise in poultry meat production in our country has kept an effective check on the spiralling prices of mutton and beef.
