Just after the recent launch of its new phones, rumor has it that Samsung will bring major changes to the design of its upcoming Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+.

An industry insider from China revealed that the phone manufacturer is upgrading the back design of the two new phones Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ that are expected to be launched by the first quarter of next year.

Though the newly launched Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ have received great feedback, there was still one criticism that the placement of fingerprint scanner was not right and was uncomfortable to use. The scanner was close to the rear camera which led users to touch camera lens each time they tried unlocking their phone.

Samsung Galaxy S9 to be launched in January

Android Headlines reported, in order to overcome this trouble in the Galaxy Note 8, what the company did was to position the LED flash and heart rate monitor between the camera and the fingerprint scanner.

As the leak suggests, this time Samsung will reposition the fingerprint scanner on its new upcoming flagship by placing it a bit further from the dual camera. It would also rearrange the LED flash and heart rate sensor, giving Galaxy S series a new look than the former versions. Also, the dual rear cameras would be advanced than the ones on Galaxy Note 8, wrote Tech Juice.

According to rumors, the phones will come with Snapdragon 845 and Exynos 9810 chipset variants along with AI capabilities.
