Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has stressed the need for evolving a joint strategy for coping with the menace of terrorism. "By proposing a national conference, Nawaz Sharif has not only underscored the gravity of this issue but also suggested an important step for its solution," he added.
He was addressing Assembly Members and office-bearers of Pakistan Muslim League-N in Raiwind on Sunday. He said terrorist attack at the Mazar of Data Gunj Bukhsh and the loss of innocent lives is a national tragedy and the perpetrators of this heinous act will have to account for their sins in this world and the world hereafter. He said that Pakistan can not overcome its economic problems as long as it relies on foreign aid. Similarly, he said, he believes that mutual consultations are necessary to root out the scourge of terrorism.
