Market Committee issues price list of fruits, vegetables

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Market Committee on Monday issued price list of vegetables and fruits in the markets of Federal Capital.

According to a spokesman, the rate list of vegetables in Islamabad except for Jinnah Super, Super and Kohsar markets are as follows:

Potato Rs 38/34 per Kg, Onion Rs 97/84, Tomato Rs 105/89, Ginger Rs 195/135, Garlic Dasi Rs 110/90, Garlic (Quetta) Rs 128/98, Lemon Rs 72/57, Lady Finger Rs 50/40, Pumpkin Rs 66/55, Brinjal Rs 34/24, Peas Rs 225/185, Farsh Bean Rs 89/75, Cucumber Rs 55/42, Capsicum Rs 115/95, Green Chilli Rs 78/69, Cauliflower Rs 30/24, Cabbage Rs 42/32, Bitter Gourd Rs 90/78, Green Zucchini RS 75/64, Spinach Rs 20/15, Raddish Rs 32/24, Turnip Rs 42/35, Maroo Rs 45/34, Yam Rs 35/24, Carrot Rs 60/45, Chicken Rs 125 and Eggs 109 per dozen.

Likewise, he said that rates of fruit per kilogram of high and medium quality in Islamabad are as follows: Apple Golden Rs 128/95, Papita Rs 145/110, Apple China Rs 230/185, Banana Pak Rs 72/58, Apple New Zealand Rs 315/270, Pear China Rs 185/160, Pear Pak Rs 62/48, Guava Rs 50/38, Grapes Black Rs 155/125 and Grapes Sundar khani Rs 242/190.

The spokesman has asked all the people to follow this list and inform the authorities at 051-4867762 in case of any complaint against the shopkeepers.
