Punjab Food department has procured 360,000 bags of wheat from the district so far which is 63 percent of the target. District Food Controller (DFC) Javed Iqbal said this while talking to newsmen here on Saturday. He said that 493,000 bags (Bardana) of wheat had been issued to the farmers so far. "Food department is purchasing wheat through six centres set up in various parts of the district" he explained.
