7th Muharram procession takes out amid tight security

QUETTA: The 7th Muharram mourning procession was taken out in Quetta amid tight security here on Saturday.

The main "alam" procession was brought out in the morning from Imambargah Kalaan, while many big and small processions taken out from various localities also joined in the evening after which Majalis-e-Aza was held.

Tight security measures were taken place for the protection of the mourners in the provincial capital. Balochistan Constabulary, Frontier Corps and personnel of Anti Terrorism Force assisted the police during the day to avoid eventuality.

Law enforcers also checked people and their vehicles at all entry and exit points of the city.
