ANKARA: Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan said on Friday he expected the economy to growth 4 percent next year if the situation in Europe does not worsen but growth may be below 4 percent if a narrowing of the European market hits exports.
In an interview with the Kanal 24 television channel, Babacan also said banks' credit growth next year was expected to be lower than growth of around 25 percent so far this year.
