CNG stations not to open before 11pm
KARACHI: CNG Association Karachi warned on Thursday that any CNG station found open and dispensing gas before 11:00pm would be fined while their supply would also remain suspended for the next 24 hours.
It maybe mentioned that all CNG stations were ordered to close for two days on Tuesday morning.
Earlier, a spokesperson of the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) said that there is a severe shortage of gas being faced by the country.
The SNGPL ordered CNG stations to close their services for two days to overcome the shortfall in supply.
The spokesperson warned that owners of CNG stations should not supply gas to vehicles during closure days, otherwise they would be handed down heavy fines and legal action would be taken against them while their gas supply would also be disconnected in case of violation of the orders.
