KARACHI: Administrator KMC Muhammad Hussain Syed has said that the Malaysian model of Urban Development can also prove effective for Karachi.
Traffic Problems in Karachi can be solved utilizing Malaysian Pre-cast Flyover Construction Technology.
He said this while talking to media representatives after a meeting with Malaysian Consul General Abu Bakar Mamat, who called on him in his office on Tuesday, said a statement.
During the meeting besides discussing matters of mutual interest, development projects initiated in Karachi by Malaysian Companies and start of more such projects also reviewed in detail.
Muhammad Hussain Syed said that Malaysia is an old friend of Pakistan and Karachi offers lucrative opportunities to investors all over the world especially Malaysian Companies could invest here in the urban development sector.
He said that the Malaysian Urban Development Model can be effectively used in Karachi especially the pre-cast flyover technology can construct the flyovers in least time.
The Malaysian Consul General said that the transfer of technology between two big cities Karachi and Kula-Lumpur would prove beneficial for Karachi. Any hurdles in this can be removed with negotiations and meetings. He said that Malaysia can help Karachi in urban planning and we expect more new joint projects in future.
