UN-WFP delegates call on sindh chief secretary
KARACHI: UN-WFP Consultant Robert Hooser and Karachi based Incharge Ms. Marrit Fikky called on Sindh Chief Secretary, Raja Muhammad Abbas, and exchanged views about relief and rescue operation with regard to the affecters of the monsoon rains.
A statement here on Sunday said that Secretary Rehabilitation Sindh, Suhail Akbar Shah, was also present on that occasion.
The UN-WFP team offered help and assistance in irrigational improvement in the rain affected areas in addition to the provision of food to the affected people.
Raja Abbas appreciated the role of UN-WFP for its services and assured full cooperation of the Government of Sindh and Provincial administration to this effect.
He also advised Secretary Rehabilitation, PDMA and Divisional and Districts Administration to extend help accordingly.
