A veteran news reader Shamim Ejaz passed away on Wednesday, family members said. They further stated that she was in her 80s and suffering from cancer. Late Shamim Ejaz remained admitted at the ICU of a local hospital for the past five days. She served Radio Pakistan for well over 35 years and was the only female news reader of Radio Pakistan. Shamim Ejaz had also hosted a popular programme" Fauji bhaiyon kai liya".
