KARACHI: Gold surged by Rs257 to close at Rs49,457 per 10 grams in the local market Wednesday, as its international price improved to $ 1,776 an ounce, market sources said.
According to Karachi Saraf Association official, tola (11.664 grams) price also increased by Rs300 to Rs 57,700.
Silver closed higher at Rs942.85 per 10 grams.
