Senior Vice President Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Makhdoom Amin Faheem has said that PPP will form next government in provinces and centre after winning the forthcoming elections with the support of masses.
He was speaking at a press conference here on Saturday at Jilani House. On this occasion, candidate for NA 226 Mirpurkhas 1, Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani, ex provincial minister Hariram Kishori Lal, candidate for NA 227 Mirpurkhas II, Mir Munawar Talpure, PPP district president Mirpurkhas Haji Noor Hassan Chandio, Khairunnisa Mughal were also present.
In reply to a question Makhdoom Amin Faheem said that statement of Babar Awan that Asif Zardari will be PPP candidate for premiership has no importance adding that after winning the election, central executive committee of PPP would decide the candidate for the post of prime minister.
He said that assassination of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was the big tragic incident and PPP and its workers have suffered big loss. He said that after assassination of Benazir Bhutto, miscreants had exploited the situation and resorted to loot, plunder and arsons and they did not belong to PPP while PPP workers were in state of shock.
He said that PPP had demanded the government to investigate this incident through United Nation otherwise after coming into power PPP government would take initiative in this regard.
He said that PPP was taking part in general election to fulfill the mission of the late Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and restoration of democracy in the country for which she had sacrificed her life. In reply to a question, he said that PPP was a political organisation and decisions had been made in the line with that of Benazir Bhutto era.
He said that country should be run under constitution and Pakistan Army and civilian should play their positive role in the country as per the constitution. He deplored that PPP workers and office bearers were being arrested and being implicated in false and fabricated cases on the pointation of people of Kings party.
He said that those officials, who are implicating PPP workers and office bearers in false and fabricated cases would be accounted for, when PPP came into power.
