Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 97,534 tonnes cargo including 67,717 tonnes import, 29,817 tonnes export cargo and 2,137 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 40,118 tonnes dry cargo including 20,869 tonnes general cargo; 4,450 tonnes fertiliser; 10,200 tonnes coal; 4,599 tonnes cement and 57,416 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Three ships namely Golden Lion, Andino Park and Cosco Lian Yun Gang sailed out to sea during the report period.
Two vessels viz Bohinj and Danum are currently at the berths. Two ships namely Maldive Cement and Overseas Jacamar expected to sail on Saturday, while two vessels viz Kota Genteng and Empress Phoenix expected to sail on Sunday.
Two vessels viz Sp 5-Eric G Gibson and Asian Queen due to arrive on Saturday, while two ships namely Bunga Terasek and Gallant Wave due to arrive on Sunday. Eleven ships namely Zhong Hua-7, Oriental Tulip, Chemstar Brave, Iran Hesabi, Mol Silver Fern, Mol Ability, Vidug Merin, Oel Trust, Fatima-1, Sari and Al Abdulla are due to arrive on Monday

PORT QASIMA total cargo volume of 102,069 tonnes comprising 95,269 tonnes import and 6,800 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,810 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 40,851 tonnes diesel oil; 4,900 tonnes edible oil; 13,169 tonnes iron ore; 9,347 tonnes canola seeds, 3,032 tonnes chemicals and 30,770 tonnes containerised cargo.
Two ships namely M.V. Hamburg Harmony and M.T. Oriental Miho sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another vessel viz Delight Victoria is expected to sail on Saturday.
M.V. Captain George-L is currently at the outer anchorage. Seven vessels viz C.V. Cap Arkitas, C.V. CSAV Ningbo, M.T. Gemini, M.T. Delight Victoria, M.V. S D Glory, M.T. Oriental Miho and M.V. Centurion are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, edible oil, diesel oil, canola seeds, chemicals and iron ore respectively during the report period.
Three ships namely C.V. MSC America, MT Golden Glory and M.T. Bum Shin due to take berths at Container Terminal, Engro Terminal and Multipurpose Terminal respectively on Saturday. Four vessels viz M.T. Samho Heron, Sinar Agra, M.T. Yanaseni and Sea Lion with edible oil, chemicals and furnace oil due to arrive on Saturday.
