Human Rights Committee of Sindh Bar Council (SBC) has adopted a resolution demanding the government to immediately stop what they called a drama being staged around the Lal Masjid in Islamabad. The resolution was unanimously passed at a meeting held under the Committee Chairman, Aqil Lodhi here on Saturday.
In the resolution, the Human Rights Committee said that the government, weakened by mass movement of the lawyers had expanded 'Lal Masjid drama' in a bid to get backing from the US and other European countries.
It also asked the government to stop live broadcasting of episodes being taken place in Islamabad as it was psychologically affecting the people. The committee also supported resolution of the Pakistan Bar Council and Supreme Court Bar Association regarding the APC convened by Nawaz Sharif.
