A gymnasium for women would be constructed to provide physical fitness facilities to the students of UAF at new campus. This was stated by the UAF Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Bashir Ahmad while delivering presidential address in an engineers night ceremony organised by society of agricultural engineers at Iqbal Auditorium here on Tuesday.
Dr Bashir Ahmad added that UAF is striving for excellence in education and research to obtain top ranking status among the all universities of the country. He said that free Internet facilities have been extended to the borders at their hostel level and this will be further extended at their rooms in near future. He maintained that sports facilities are also being expanded for border students. In this regard new playgrounds are being developed around the hostels.
Dr Muhammad Abbas vice Chancellor UET, Sialkot said that as a former student of UAF, he feels proud himself as a product of this great Alma Matter. He added that engineers of this university are contributing their skills in all fields of engineering.
Chief gust and Vice Chancellor UAF distributed awards to distinguished scholars and engineers. The best student 2007 Dr Asif Sarwar award was given to Engineer Abdul Nabi. A large number of faculty members, eminent scientists and students attended the ceremony.
