President of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) Qazi Hussain Ahmad has said that the opposition would strongly resist if General Pervez Musharraf tried to get himself re-elected as president through the present assemblies.
Talking to newsmen during the meeting of Majlis-e-Shoora of Jamaat-i-Islami Pakistan here at Mansoora on Wednesday, Qazi maintained that new voters list were faulty and if the government did not rectify mistakes, they would approach the court of law.
He was of the view that Election Commission should prepare the voters' list on the basis of computerised database of Nadra. Talking about forthcoming APC, Qazi said that in the absence of Benazir Bhutto, any delegation of PPPP could not take any decision.
He stated that the PPPP always tried to put off important matters through the politics of deal. "If the PPPP did not adopt clear stance, the other opposition parties should adopt joint stance against the government.
