Justice Javed lqbal of Supreme Court of Pakistan has taken suo motu action against a housing society, Rufi Global City Housing Society, Karachi on a complaint. Justice Javed Iqbal has directed the Registrar Cooperative Societies, Karachi to submit report in the matter on July 12, 2007.
The complainant Zulfiqar Ali Arain in his written complaint said that he had booked two plots in the Rufi Global society and paid charges and all instalments afterwards he came to know through a newspaper that the project land was a disputed property and it's case was in pending before the Sindh High Court. He complained that the owners of the society were not giving satisfactory response on the matter of disputed land and failed to undertake any development work on the project despite receiving development charges from all the stakeholders.-PR
