RAWALPINDI: Chairman Punjab Sports Board Mohammad Hanif Abassi renewed his government pledge to make Pakistan a strong and invincible country by inculcating unity, faith and discipline in lives of Pakistani people.
He said this while addressing a function held in connection with Pakistan Day here at Adiala Jail Thursday.
Abassi said that our forefathers had got a separate homeland through a democratic and constitutional process and the entire nation united under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to render any sacrifice for protection of ideological frontiers of the country and to cope with the challenge of terrorism.
He appreciated the role of civilian and military law enforcing agencies for maintaining law and order in the operation Rad ul Fassad.
The consistency in national policies has resulted in increased investment in the country, adding that Pakistan is now more secure and peaceful as compare to the previous years,he added.
Earlier he distributed prizes and certificates among the prisoners who participated in the games.
