ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mian Saqib Nisar Friday constituted four benches at the principal seat to hear a number of important cases during the next week.
The first bench comprised of Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Justice Maqbool Baqar and Justice Ijaz Ul Ahsan while the second bench consists of Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and Justice Sardar Tariq Masood.
The third bench would be consisted Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel and the fourth bench would consist of Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Mushir Alam.
The formation of benches on Thursday, March 9, as the first bench would comprised of Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and Justice Sardar Tariq Masood, while the second bench would comprised of Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, Justice Maqbool Baqar and Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel.
The third bench would consist of Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Mushir Alam,
During the week, the benches would hear important cases including Nazim District Council Shangla/Chairperson District Disaster Management Unit, Shangla vs the Chief Executive/Chief Minister, KPK and others regarding release of funds, appeals against death sentences, NAB bail matters, writ Petition regarding execution of death sentence and suspension of death sentence on the basis of compromise and expectancy of life, Complaint by Muzaffar Hussain Khan and Mansoor Ahmed Shah, Advocates, regarding Mismanagement of Waqaf Property in Muzaffargarh, cases arising out of Civil Suits and Permanent Injunction.
According to cause lists, no adjournment on any ground will be granted and no application for adjournment through fax will be placed before the court.
Furthermore, if the counsel is unable to appear for any reason, the Advocate-on-Record will be required to argue the case.
