KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Thursday having 49062.26 points with a positive change of 80.61 and volume of 113,780,500 shares.
High and Low were 49153.44 and 48474.80 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 266,165,460 shares with 387 total traded companies out of which 159 were up 211 were down and 17 were unchanged.
ENGINEERING was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 35,445,900 shares. It was followed by COMMERCIAL BANKS with a total traded volume of 34,392,500 shares.
The three top traded companies were K-Electric Ltd. with a volume of 19,619,000 and price per share of 9.75 (0.10), Aisha Steel Mill with a volume 19,409,500 of price per share of 26.13 (0.34), TRG Pak Ltd with a volume 13,976,500 of price per share of 56.09 (1.13).
The top three advancers were Service Ind.Ltd with price per share 1480.50 (70.50), Island Textile with price per share of 1149.99 (53.81) and Rafhan Maize share of 7599.50 (49.50).
The top three decliners were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 4116.33 (-80.49), Hinopak Motor with price per share of 1589.09 (-65.91) and Sapphire Fiber share of 950.00 (-50.00).
