LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Wednesday said potable water was the basic need of every citizen and Clean Drinking Water Programme would be speedily implemented.
The CM expressed these remarks during a meeting with Chief Executive Officer German Company Fichtner Water and Transportation, Ulf Meyer Scharenberg, who met him here.
Matters relating to promotion of cooperation in Clean Drinking Water Programme were discussed during the meeting. The Punjab government and German company agreed upon expansion of cooperation in this program.
The Chief Minister asserted to carry out this programme at economic and concrete basis by taking benefit from the experience and expertise of German company. The CEO German Company at this occasion said all out cooperation would be extended to the Punjab government regarding this important programme.
Chairman Saaf Pani Company South Chaudhry Arif Saeed, Chairman Planning & Development, Secretary Housing, Chief Executive Officer Saaf Pani Company North, Chief Executive Officer Saaf Pani Company South and concerned officers were present in the meeting.
