KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Monday having 48929.12 points with a negative change of 446.59 and volume of 112,581,240 shares.

High and Low were 49597.33 and 48850.90 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 344,287,800 shares with 405 total traded companies out of which 117 were up 275 were down and 13 were unchanged.

CEMENT was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 56,597,950 shares. It was followed by ENGINEERING with a total traded volume of 30,784,300 shares.

The three top traded companies were Sui South Gas with a volume of 21,353,000 and price per share of 41.93 (1.76), Nimir Resins with a volume 10,412,500 of price per share of 12.48 (0.63), Azgard Nine with a volume 8,913,500 of price per share of 8.99 (0.15).

The top three advancers were Bata (Pak)with price per share 4100.00 (150.00), Millat Tractors with price per share of 1160.68 (55.27) and Unilever Foods share of 5850.00 (50.00).

The top three decliners were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 4147.83 (73.40), Sapphire Fiber with price per share of 1040.00 (52.00) and Khyber Tobacco share of 1012.50 (37.50).
