RECORDER REPORT: PSX close of day

KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed lower on Tuesday having 49767.91 points with a negative change of 197.72 and volume of 136,388,550 shares.

High and Low were 50036.65 and 49527.70 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 353,066,210 shares with 391 total traded companies out of which 125 were up 251 were down and 15 were unchanged.

ENGINEERING was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 68,088,500 shares. It was followed by CEMENT with a total traded volume of 52,742,600 shares.

The three top traded companies were Power Cement Ltd. with a volume of 37,173,000 and price per share of 19.94 (0.05), Dost Steels Ltd.with a volume 18,219,000 of price per share of 15.39 (0.38), Sui North Gas with a volume 9,601,000 of price per share of 118.11 (2.74).

The top three advancers were Rafhan Maize with price per share 7595.00 (89.00), Hinopak Motor with price per share of 1675.26 (48.00) and Shell Pakistan share of 617.01 (29.38).

The top three decliners were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 4263.34 (209.99), Sanofi-Aventis with price per share of 2651.89 (111.00) and Pak Tobacco share of 1093.25 (45.00).
