imageISLAMABAD: The hearing of Panama Leaks case is set to resume in the Supreme Court on February 15 after the recovery of Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed from illness.

Five-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa will resume hearing of the case. The hearing of the case was postponed after senior judge of Supreme Court, Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed hospitalized over cardiac issue last month.

According to Dunya News, the proceedings of Panama case hearing will pick up from where it was left off from the coming Wednesday. The hearing was suspended as justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed had fell ill following a heart attack.

The case had gripped the attention of the country ever since the Panama papers were issued showing the Prime Minister and his family to be the owners of offshore companies.

However, with the recovery of the Supreme Court judge approved by his doctors, the 5-member bench assigned to hear Panama Papers case is now complete once more and proceedings are poised to restart from the coming Wednesday.

The counsels for petitioners Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan, Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Sirajul Haq and Awami Muslim League Chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmad as well as lawyers of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Safdar, Capt (r) Muhammad Safdar and Ishaq Dar have completed their arguments while Salman Akram Raja representing Hussain Nawaz and Hassan Nawaz is still arguing the case.
