KARACHI: On Tuesday, until mid day, KSE-100 Index was at 49860.04 with a positive change of 230.00 and volume of 53,234,810 shares.

High and Low were 49872.79 and 49630.04 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 188,431,070 shares with 341 total traded companies out of which 216 were up, 111 were down and 14 were unchanged.

CHEMICAL was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 30,370,640 shares. It was followed by ENGINEERING with a total traded volume of 27,929,200 shares.

The three top traded companies were Power Cement Ltd. with a volume of 19,303,500 and price per share of 16.57 (1.00), Aisha Steel Mill with a volume 13,772,000 of price per share of 25.35 (1.20), Engro Polymer with a volume 11,717,500 of price per share of 26.72 (0.40).

The top three advancers were Sanofi-Aventis with price per share 2778.15 (132.29), Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 4725.00 (51.60) and Abbott Lab. share of 1058.00 (45.46).

The top three decliners were Pak Tobacco with price per share of 1200.01 (38.98), Colgate Palmolive with price per share of 1870.00 (23.50) and Pak.Int.Cont. per share of 422.25 (12.85).
