KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Monday having 49630.04 points with a positive change of 74.21 and volume of 97,529,600 shares.

High and Low were 49739.89 and 49534.07, respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 281,492,040shares with 402 total traded companies out of which 169 were up 204 were down and 29 were unchanged.

CHEMICAL was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 61,881,750 shares. It was followed by TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION with a total traded volume of 37,858,500 shares.

The three top traded companies were Lotte Chemical.. with a volume of 42,748,000 and price per share of 10.45 (1.00), TRG Pak Ltd. with a volume 28,345,000 of price per share of 61.21 (2.59), Engro Polymer with a volume 12,408,500 of price per share of 26.32 (1.26).

The top three advancers were Sanofi-Aventis with price per share 2645.86 (125.99), Wyeth Pak Ltd. with price per share of 4673.40 (100.00) and Unilever Foods share of 5800.00 (75.00).

The top three decliners were Archroma Pak with price per share of 694.81 (-36.55), Thal Ind.Corp.XD with price per share of 574.75 (-30.25) and Shield Corp. share of 504.83 (-26.57).
