KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Thursday having 49642.04 points with a positive change of 186.18 and volume of 177,990,330 shares.

High and Low were 49933.91 and 49426.87 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 447,243,160 shares with 410 total traded companies out of which 177 were up 223 were down and 10 were unchanged.

ENGINEERING was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 82,352,000 shares. It was followed by POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION with a total traded volume of 54,378,500 shares.

The three top traded companies were Dost Steels Ltd. with a volume of 57,675,500 and price per share of 14.73 (0.60), K-Electric Ltd. with a volume 42,780,500 of price per share of 10.41 (0.14), TRG Pak Ltd with a volume 32,448,000 of price per share of 58.63 (1.60).

The top three advancers were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share 4526.55 (215.55), Bata (Pak) with price per share of 4294.00 (204.00) and Colgate Palmolive share of 1890.00 (85.00).

The top three decliners were Rafhan Maize with price per share of 7500.00 (137.00), Philip Morris Pak. with price per share of 2600.00 (40.00) and Khyber Tobacco share of 960.33 (39.60).
